Built in media walls for Fakenham living rooms

At about 32 miles north of Brandon, Fakenham is close to as far out as we go. We do take work on in this part of Norfolk, and at this distance we would rather tell you straight away whether your job is worth the journey.

Fakenham falls under North Norfolk District Council. That matters as soon as a project involves a structural alteration or anything outside the existing footprint, because the application and the inspections go through them. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

Fakenham has a Georgian market place with brick and flint property and modern development beyond it. Media wall work is shaped by that more than by anything we bring to it. None of that shows in a price list, which is why we come and look first. We price from the property, never from a template.

At roughly 32 miles it is outside our core area, so it depends on the size of the job. For a full media wall the travel is usually worth it for both of us. For a small one day job it honestly is not, and we would rather tell you that than quote a price that reflects the driving.

Plots in Fakenham are typical market town plots, tight through the centre. It is mostly a practical point for inside work: where materials are unloaded and where a cutting station can be set up out of the way.

Brick and flint walls are rarely flat, and there are a lot of them here. For fitted work it is usually background, and it becomes relevant the moment a wall is moving or a floor is being lifted.

We do not make that call, the council does. For fitted work inside the house it is worth checking if the property is listed or if a wall is coming out, and we will tell you which of those applies once we have seen it. In Fakenham that means North Norfolk District Council. If there is any doubt we would rather you check with them before work is booked than after.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Fakenham are Swaffham, Watton, Downham Market, Attleborough and Thetford Forest, and the villages in between are covered as well. If your address sits between two of them, tell us the village and we will tell you straight away whether it works.

Yes. It most often runs alongside second fix carpentry, fitted wardrobe work and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 32 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.

Call 07539 278705 or send the enquiry form with a line about the job. At roughly 32 miles away we will talk the job through by phone first, so neither of us makes a wasted trip. The quote costs nothing.
