Privacy notice

This notice explains what V&M Home Extensions do with the information you send through this website. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.

What we collect

Only what you type into an enquiry form: your name, your phone number, and where you provide them, your email address, the service you are interested in, the town the property is in, your message and how you would prefer us to reply. We also record which page the enquiry came from and your browser's user agent string, which helps us spot automated spam.

Why we hold it

To reply to your enquiry, to quote for the work and, if you go ahead, to carry it out. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Where it is stored

Enquiries are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, which is access controlled so that only this website's server can write to it and only we can read it. A notification email is also sent to us through Resend so that we see the enquiry promptly. Those two companies process the information on our behalf and for no other purpose.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, runs no advertising tags and uses no third party analytics or tracking scripts. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for up to two years, so that we can pick up the thread if you come back to us. Records relating to work we carried out are kept for six years, which is the normal period for contractual and tax records.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 07539 278705 and tell us, and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
