Media walls in Long Stratton

Long Stratton is roughly 33 miles east of Brandon, right at the limit of our range. We do take work on in this part of Norfolk, and at this distance we would rather tell you straight away whether your job is worth the journey.

Long Stratton falls under South Norfolk Council. That matters as soon as a project involves a structural alteration or anything outside the existing footprint, because the application and the inspections go through them. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

The pattern here is consistent. Long Stratton has period property along the old road with modern development set behind it. Media wall work has to suit it. None of that shows in a price list, which is why we come and look first. We price from the property, never from a template.

At roughly 33 miles it is outside our core area, so it depends on the size of the job. For a full media wall the travel is usually worth it for both of us. For a small one day job it honestly is not, and we would rather tell you that than quote a price that reflects the driving.

Plots in Long Stratton run linear along the main road, with estate plots behind. It is mostly a practical point for inside work: where materials are unloaded and where a cutting station can be set up out of the way.

Long Stratton is a fair distance out and is a large village rather than a town. For fitted work it is usually background, and it becomes relevant the moment a wall is moving or a floor is being lifted.

We do not make that call, the council does. For fitted work inside the house it is worth checking if the property is listed or if a wall is coming out, and we will tell you which of those applies once we have seen it. The council to ask in Long Stratton is South Norfolk Council, and we can point you at the right department once we have seen the job.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Long Stratton are Diss, Wymondham, Attleborough, Thetford and Stowmarket, and the villages in between are covered as well. If you are not sure which counts as nearest, give us the village or postcode on the enquiry form.

Yes. It most often runs alongside second fix carpentry, fitted wardrobe work and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 33 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.

Call 07539 278705 or send the enquiry form with a line about the job. At roughly 33 miles away we will talk the job through by phone first, so neither of us makes a wasted trip. The quote costs nothing.
