Kitchen fitting in Soham, done by carpenters

Soham is about 16 miles south west of Brandon and squarely inside our normal patch. Soham, Ely and Mildenhall and the villages around them all sit inside our core area.

Soham falls under East Cambridgeshire District Council. Anything structural, or anything that changes the footprint, is decided and inspected by them rather than by us. We build to what has been approved and work to the inspection stages on the programme.

Soham is an older fen edge core with a large amount of recent estate development around it. Everything else follows from that. That is what decides how much of a job is straightforward and how much is patient work against what is actually there. We price from the property, never from a template.

At about 16 miles from our base, getting out to measure up is straightforward rather than something we have to schedule weeks ahead. Call or send the enquiry form and we will arrange a time that suits you. The quote costs nothing.

The recent estate plots in Soham are compact and regular. For work inside the house the plot matters less than it does for building work, but it still decides where the van, the deliveries and any skip can go.

Soham combines fen edge ground with a lot of very new stock. For fitted work it is usually background, and it becomes relevant the moment a wall is moving or a floor is being lifted.

That is the council's decision rather than ours, and it turns on the property and the exact work. A listed house, or a job that moves a structural wall, is where it is most worth asking before anything is booked. For a property in Soham the authority that decides is East Cambridgeshire District Council, and we will tell you plainly what we think before you contact them.

Yes. The nearest other towns on our list to Soham are Ely, Mildenhall, Newmarket, Lakenheath and Brandon, and the villages in between are covered as well. If your address sits between two of them, tell us the village and we will tell you straight away whether it works.

Yes. It most often runs alongside second fix carpentry, extension work and renovation work, and because one team does the carpentry throughout there is no gap between trades. At about 16 miles from our base, putting the work into one programme also means one run of travel instead of several.

Call 07539 278705 or send the enquiry form with a line about the job. At roughly 16 miles away, a visit to measure up fits easily into a normal week. The quote costs nothing.
